Our Story

Growing one person, one chapter at a time.

po.tours is the natural evolution of PolishOrigins – a name trusted by thousands of travelers for years.

Started in 2004 began by helping people trace their roots in Central and Eastern Europe. Very quickly, however, our clients asked for more: context-rich historical tours, explorations of communist-era sites, folk traditions, meetings with local artisans, and experiences that felt less like tourism and more like coming home.

We listened. And we delivered.

We have guided multigenerational families back to their ancestral villages, history enthusiasts through the region’s most evocative landmarks, and culturally curious travelers deep into the living traditions, post-communism transformations, and genuine local encounters that still shape Central and Eastern Europe today.

That long track record has given us something few organizations possess: real operational know-how, a battle-tested network of hotels, drivers, specialist guides, and venues, and a team that treats every guest with deep care. Our tour managers, historians, and guides have been refining the art of seamless, high-touch travel for years – sweating every detail so our clients never have to.

With po.tours we are opened this same expertise and passion to everyone who wants to experience the authentic heart of Central and Eastern Europe – whether their interest is rich European history, cultural immersion, or simply traveling with meaning and comfort.

What stays exactly the same is our promise:

  • Truly private tours built around your story and pace

  • Zero effort for you – we handle every booking, every contingency, every surprise upgrade

  • Expert narration and genuine encounters that go far beyond guidebook clichés

  • The warmth and personal attention that turn a trip into a lifelong memory

We still believe travel should feel personal, insightful, and effortless. We still sweat the details. We still put human connection at the center.

Only now the invitation is wider.

"One can transmit knowledge, but one cannot transmit experience. Experience possesses a certain additional existential dimension, in the face of which the word is too poor, too helpless.”
Ryszard Kapuściński, master of literary reportage.
